a young man—pretty good university—and he 
thought he learned a lot about English literature. 
He arrived at Cambridge University and discovered 
he had to unlearn everything he learned U of M 
because everything was wrong. The whole thing 
was wrong as far as he was concerned. He came 
back to North America and he went to Madison, 
Wisconsin for a brief period. There, at the 
University of Wisconsin he had to unlearn 
everything he learned about the United States. He 
said Canadians were brought up to think we were 
cultured and the Americans weren’t. And in
